Carl Richard “Rick” Browning

Carl Richard “Rick” Browning, age 64, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born Dec. 12, 1952 in Mingo County, West Virginia.

Rick was a workaholic who enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Apostolic Deliverance Tabernacle in Peebles.

Rick is survived by his mother, Glenna Ramey Warrix (Allen) of Verdunville, W. Va.; his wife, Patricia A. White Browning; children, Charles Browning (Misty) of McCar, Ky. and Tonya Camp (Mark Waugh) of Wellston; brother, Frank Browning (Deb); sisters, Fran Peck (Dennis), Judy Muncy (James) and Deborah Kay Barker (Jay), along with nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Bob Williams, John Gilliland and Ron Jones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Browning.

In keeping with Rick’s wishes, his body was cremated. Memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the Pentecostal Tabernacle in Edgarton, W. Va. with Brother Ronnie Wolford officiating. The family requests the omission of flowers. Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.
