Camille Joseph “C.J.” Nicholas, age 68, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at his residence. He was born Dec. 27, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Camille and Marie Joseph Nicholas.
C.J. was a 1967 graduate of Wellston High School and attended Miami University. He was a local businessman, who most recently was the owner and operator of Hardwood Furniture and Antiques in Wellston for the past 28 years. C.J. attended the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wellston, and in his spare time he was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Ashley Nicholas of Wellston; granddaughter, Allison Nicholas; and his cousin, Ann Joseph Malone of Jackson.
Besides his parents, C.J. was preceded in death by his aunt, Helen, and uncles, Joseph and Eddie. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Jackson with Father Donald Maroon officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 227 South New York Ave., Wellston, Ohio 45692.
