Brenda Lynn McManus, age 62, of Hamden, passed away Saturday morning, February 20, 2016, at the Jenkins Care Community in Wellston. She was born March 29, 1953 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late James P. McManus, Sr. and Eula M. Bayes McManus.
Brenda was a 1971 graduate of Vinton County High School. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, until they were losing! Brenda loved playing bingo, cooking and taking care of her dogs. She enjoyed giving to and caring for others in her own special way.
Brenda is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Bev McManus of Hamden; niece and nephews, Kristin Kisor (Richie) of Jackson, Sean McManus (Abbe) of Miramar, Fla., and Derek McManus of Hamden; great-nieces and great-nephew, Tressa Lambert, Brooklyn Case and Chandler Kisor; aunts, Leona, Shirley, Nancy and Mary, as well as many loving and dear cousins and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Alan McManus, and several aunts and uncles.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Eberts and Pastor Leland Brehm officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Cemetery in McArthur.
