Bobby Gerald Kiser

Bobby Gerald Kiser, age 78, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Mount Carmel West Hospital on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 with his beloved family by his side. Bobby Gerald was born on Dec. 23, 1939 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Ed and Elizabeth (Oiler) Kiser.

He married the love of his life, Nancy (Potts) Kiser on Aug. 28, 1965 and became a proud father to his daughter, Kristal in 1982. He spent many years working as a truck driver, hauling concrete pipe. He took great pride in his work and loved to recount stories of where his job had taken him. He was a selfless person who was always helping his friends, family, and neighbors, and put a smile on the face of everyone he met. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed being outside tending to his lawn and garden.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Nancy (Potts) Kiser; his daughter and son-in-law, Kristal (Kiser) and Matthew Dupler; sisters: Kay (Larry) Herron and Rosemary (Ronald) Ferenchak; brother, Edward (DeAnn) Kiser; sister-in-law, June Kisor; brother-in-law, Tom (Janet) Potts; best friend, Bob Chapman; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Kiser.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Stout officiating. Burial will follow at Horeb Cemetery.
