Billy J. Clark, 85, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, Jan. 21, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Dublin, Ohio, with several family members by his side to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born in Dunbar, West Virginia to Willard T. and Mary G. Clark (Miller), he lived a significant majority of his life in Jackson.

Billy is survived by his wife, Eva, of 67 years; sons, Don (Bev) Clark, Doug (Lale) Clark, daughters Kathy (Earl) Henderson and Dianna (Randy) Goff; grandchildren, Burley (Lori) Clark, Braun (Ron) DiFava, Scott (Chrissy) Clark, Kellie (Frank) Ruiz, Heather (Matt) O’Rand, Nathan (Eileen) Henderson, Brian (Chrissy) Henderson, Josh (Shelley) Clark, Donnie (Amy) Clark, Tyler (Michelle) Goff, Laura (Stephen) Brown, Kyle Goff and Nick Goff; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph (Pat) Clark and many other relatives and friends.

Billy graduated from Dunbar High School and followed with service to his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He then started employment with the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion plant where he spent his entire career culminating as the Superintendent of the Instrumentation Laboratory. During his career, Billy attained his BS in English from Rio Grande College and post-graduate degree from Ohio University with a MS in Industrial Engineering.

Billy was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church and served in several leadership and teaching positions for over two decades. He enjoyed many sports, particularly baseball, was an avid golfer at the Franklin Valley Golf Club, and served his community coaching for many years in the youth athletic leagues.

The family will be receiving family and friends, Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home, 135 Broadway Street, Jackson, Ohio. A Christian ceremony will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 125 Locust Street.
