Beulah M. (Wright) Bentley, age 97, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Lucasville, Ohio, after an extended illness.  She was born April 21, 1922 to the late Frank P. and America (Potter) Wright of Neon, Kentucky.

She was such a wonderful Saint of God, a great prayer warrior, and an inspiration to so many people!  She blessed everyone that knew her!  She loved going to church, reading the Bible, and she really enjoyed singing gospel hymns and songs!  She was a member and attended the Lucasville Church of God. She was a member of the Jackson Red Hat Society and the Keystone Ladies Group.  Mom was such a people-person, and she loved talking to people, praying for them and helping people in any way she could.  Our favorite scripture for Mom is, Proverbs 31:27-28 (KJV): “She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed.”

Beulah is survived by her children: Julia Haney of Jackson, Ohio, Teresa (Allen) Scurlock of Jackson, Ohio, Sheila (Bob) Kilgour of Jackson, Ohio, Vivian (Robert) Wood of Lucasville, Ohio, Vida (Dale) Duhl of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Jerry (Joyce) Bentley of Wellston, Ohio, Terry (Carla) Bentley of Morrisville, North Carolina, Colleen (Bruce) Dameron of Jackson, Ohio, and Lee Roy (Beth) Bentley of Gahanna, Ohio.  She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Ernestine Gooch of Millstone, Kentucky, along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert F. Bentley; four children: Nellene Wyatt, Ronnie Tyrone Bentley, Elbert Van Bentley, and Frank Martin Bentley; also preceding her were two sisters and six brothers.

Friends may call Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson and again prior to the funeral service on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
