Betty R. Gray, age 69, of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018 at her residence. She was born on Jan. 9, 1949 in Whitley County, Kentucky to the late Robert and Orpha (Sears) Rogers. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ohler Ray Gray, Sr.; daughter, Talana Ruth Collins; great-granddaughters, Ileigh and Kinslee Henson; along with six brother and two sisters.
Betty is survived by her son, Ohler “Bub” Ray Gray, Jr.; her daughter, Louvenia G. (Eugene) Crabtree; seven grandchildren: Mike Morgan, Justin Morgan, Catelyn Gray, Alyssa Gray, Kayla O’Neill, Nikki Barker and Tate Aldridge; and six great-grandchildren: Kylan, Tatum, Malaki, Hunter, Aaliyah and Arora.
Betty retired from Bellisio Foods. She especially enjoyed being with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m., with Celebrant Bill Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Betty’s name to help with funeral expenses.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home and Southern Ohio Cremation Services in Jackson.
