Betty M. McManaway

Betty M. McManaway, age 76, of Wellston, passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born July 18, 1941 in Boyd County, Kentucky, daughter of the late George Fannin and Lillian E. Minor Fannin.

Betty, a 1960 graduate of Jackson High School, was the former Director of the Jackson County Human Services, where she was employed for over 30 years. Betty enjoyed reading and she loved to go shopping and traveling.

She is survived by her husband of almost 58 years, Raymond C. McManaway, whom she married on April 22, 1961; children, Rick McManaway (Cathy), Randy McManaway (Michelle), and Becky Stewart (Rob), all of Wellston; grandchildren, Erica McManaway, Ashley Stewart, Chelsea McManaway, Katelyn Stewart and Derek McManaway; brother, Gary Fannin (Debbie) of Springfield; sister, Kathy Fannin of Jackson; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Bob, Dave and Don Fannin.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Bishop James Marquis officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
