Betty J. Stumbo, age 69, went to be with the Lord and her husband, Hatfield on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born June 27, 1948 in Lambert Kentucky to the late Lee and Clercie (Orsborne) Howell.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hatfield Stumbo, brother, Homer Howell, sister Christine Ousley, brother, Jimmy Howell and grandson, Noah Johnson.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Teresa) Stumbo, of Ray, Kristy (Curtis) Tordiff, of Ray; grandchildren, Misty (Mike) Mills, Rusty (Cricket) Stumbo, Brittni (Timmy) Johnson, Brandon (Tara) Devers and Ryan Tordiff; great grandchildren, Phillip (Amanda) Stumbo, Sierra Mills, Breanna Rapp, Brentney Mills, Chloe and Kylie Johnson and Kinleigh Devers and great great grandchildren, Ava and Owen Stumbo. Also surviving is her brother Harold Howell and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was a member of the Liberty Christian Center in Jackson. She enjoyed gardening and her grandchildren more than anything.
Friends may call Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Liberty Christian Church on Center St. in Jackson starting at 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at the church with Pastor Burley Muncy officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com
