Betty Ann Massie, age 78, of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Jenkins Care Community in Wellston. She was born April 1, 1940 in Jackson, Ohio to the late William and Matilda (Won) Stroth.
She is survived by her two daughters, Theresa (Al) Carter, of Jackson, Shelba Biggs (Frank Hatten), of Jackson; two sons, Harold Jr., and Bobby (Pam) Massie, both of Jackson; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Massie; daughter, Patty Malone; son-in-law David Malone; daughter-in-law, Peggy Massie; brother, Ivan Adams and her beloved dog, “Red”.
Betty Ann worked at the Jackson Corp. for numerous years, then worked at the Senior Citizens and Holzer Home Health Care and then retired at the age of 74.
Friends may call Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 4-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held 1:00 Friday, July 6, 2018 at the funeral home with Bishop James Marquis officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
