Bessie “Connie” Partlow

Bessie ” Connie ” Partlow, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Columbus, Ohio, Sunday evening, Feb. 26, 2017. She was born in Washington Township, Jackson County, Ohio, Jan. 25, 1936, to the late Orville M. Bowden and the late Wilma J. Johnson. She was a 1955 graduate of Hamden High School, a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, and an avid reader.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Rose Hughes Bowden; her husband on Dec. 3, 2007, Richard L. “Dick” Partlow; and four brothers, John Lee Bowden, Mack Eugene Bowden, Arnold “Arnie” Bowden, and Gerald “Butch” Bowden.

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia “Patty” Stephens of Columbus, Brenda “Suzie” Campbell (Richard) of Marion, Ohio, and Deborah “Debbie” McConnell of Columbus; three grandchildren, Jennifer Stephens, Alicia Delgado, and Jessica Easton (Matthew); six great-grandchildren, Alexis Smith, McKenzie Partlow, Haven Easton, Eric Stephens, Abram Easton, and Emery Easton; a sister, Sharon Jones, of Hamden; three brothers, Orville “Charlie” Bowden (Judy) and Gary Bowden (Julia) of Hamden and Tim Bowden (Beth) of Jenson Beach, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday after 11 a.m. and until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston. Pastor Jamie Fortner will officiate the services with burial to follow in the Coalton Cemetery.

Connie’s memory will be cherished by all those whose lives she touched.
