Bernard M. Cooper, 89, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012.
He was the son of the late Rev. Orlan C. and Minnie Cooper of Coalton, and beloved husband of Gretta (Shaw) Cooper, and former husband of the late Marie Cooper and the late Virginia Cooper; loving father of Richard Cooper (Roxane) and Janet Slattery (Jeff); dear grandfather of Stacie Pehanic (Jeff), Kristin Fox (Tim), Melissa Cremeans (Gary), Colleen Horst (Brian), Sue Miller, Kenny Shaw and Alan Shaw (Lucy), and great-grandfather of Chloe Pehanic, Cooper and Carlie Fox, Kara and Gage Cain, Gary Michael Cremeans, Maya Horst, Jennifer Mathias (Brandon), Jeffery Miller (Melodi), Kelly Miller, Ashley and Kenny Shaw, David and Danny Shaw, and Jacob and Ben Mathias; dear brother of Orlan Cooper (Jean), Anna Frances Lasley (Thomas, deceased), and the late Dorothy Milliken.
Mr. Cooper was a graduate of Coalton High School, Class of 1940; a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a 65-year member of Parkside Masonic Lodge No. 736.
Calling hours were held Sunday, February 12 and the funeral service was held Monday, February 13 at Parma-South Presbyterian Church. Entombment followed at the Sunset Memorial Park Westwood Abbey Mausoleum, N. Olmstead.
