Barbara Jean Ousley, age 80, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was born January 8, 1933 in Wellston, to the late Francis and Mary Rawlins Martin. Barb was a 1951 graduate of Wellston High School. She was a former nurse’s aide for several area nursing homes and was a member of the #10 Christian Church in Wellston, where she was a former Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by children, Eric Martin Ousley of Jackson, Mary Jane Ervin of Wellston and Steven A. Ousley of Wellston, as well as seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and her family at Heartland of Jackson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Danny Ousley and her sister, Clara Mae Cheatwood.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Benson officiating.
