Arden Souders, age 87, of Jackson, passed away Friday August, 23, 2013. He was born October 17, 1925 in Wellston, OH to the late Claud and Nellie Souders. He served in the United States Army in WW II infantry and later worked for the Good Year Atomic plant.
He is survived by his wife, Forlinda (Veloso) Souders, of Jackson, OH; three sons: Frank Souders, Barry (Florelie) Souders, both of Jackson, Mark (Kathy) Souders of Centerville, OH; granddaughter, Leah (Nick) Bergman and great-grandson, Carson Bergman, both of Centerville, OH.
In addition to his parents, Claud and Nellie Souders, Arden was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Marie Souders and a sister, Donna Faye Flower.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill, OH. Friends may call on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to SOMC Hospice, 2201 25th St., Portsmouth, OH 45662.
