Charles Gilbert “Buck” Jenkins

Charles Gilbert “Buck” Jenkins, age 81, of Jackson, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 9, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. He was born August 17, 1934 in Ray, Ohio to the late Daniel Jenkins and Lola (Hall).

He was a retired pipefitter of Local Union #577 and local business owner of the former Jenkins Welding.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Pearl Jenkins; children: Tom (Sheree) Jenkins, Lorrie (Bud) Perry, Brent (Missy) Jenkins, Brad (Brenda) Jenkins, Charles David Jenkins, and Cindy (Tim) Case; sisters: Barb (Carroll) Hickman and Carolyn (Larry) Ratcliff; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Marilyn Hannah and Kay McNerlin; brother, Dan Ivan; daughters: Terry Ann Harris and Lisa Kaye Jenkins; one grandchild; and six great-grandchildren.

Buck was a faithful Christian and a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Evangelist Tim Case officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
