Mary E. Zinn, age 92, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Four Winds Community Facility.
Mary was born June 26, 1923 in Thurman, Ohio to the late Clarence and Mabel (Davis) Richards. She was a member of the Homemakers Club, Mothers Club, Jackson County Republican Party, Vega United Methodist Church, and attended Christ United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward B. Zinn Jr. in 1971; son, Paul Zinn; two sisters, Evelyn L. Nelson and Darlene Lyons; and infant brother, Haydon Duane Richards.
She is survived by daughter, Mona (Phil) Arbaugh of Thurman, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Patty Zinn of Springfield, Ohio; two sons: David Robert “Bob” Zinn of Jackson, Ohio and Eddie B. (Linda) Zinn, III of Grove City, Ohio; five brothers: Delver (Betty) Richards, Alfred (Marva) Richards of Jackson, Ohio, John (Shirley) Richards of Sunbury, Ohio, Glendon Richards of Springfield, Ohio, and Dave (Kaye) Richards of Texas; 7 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 4 to 8pm. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 1pm at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Boggs officiating. Burial will follow at Vega Cemetery.
