Thomas L. Williams, age 79, of Jackson, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Jackson on April 2, 1936 to the late Dale and Ida (Helman) Williams.
In addition to his parents his brothers, George and Larry Williams, and sisters, Cleo Baker and Deloris McManis, preceded him in death.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Helen (McCown) Williams; sons, Thomas “Shane” (Lena) Williams, Gary “Michael” Williams, Brian Keith (Michelle) Williams and Thomas Albert Hughes (Gena Lawson); grandchildren, Charles Runyon, Roger Runyon, Shane Alexander Williams, Bobby Williams, Brooke Williams, Breanna Williams, Paul Michael Orindoff and Adam Hughes; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou (Melvin) Christian; and several nieces and nephews.
He attended Freedom Chapel in Wellston, loved hunting, fishing, gardening, watching sports and spending time with his family.
Funeral service will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson on Wednesday, May 20 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Perry Bradford officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 19, from 2 to 4 and 6 – 8 p.m.
