James Herbert McKee, age 74, of Wellston, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015, at his home. He was born November 4, 1940 in Vinton County, Ohio to the late Raymond D. McKee and Emmie M. Boyer McKee.
Jim was a former employee of Cooper Energy Industries. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War, and he enjoyed coon hunting.
Jim is survived by his children, Irene McKee of Wellston and James McKee of Wapakoneta; grandchildren, Jacob McKee and Tyler Leach; former wife, Leoma McKee of Wellston; brother, Gerald McKee of Wellston; sister, Freda McCormick of Seaman, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold McKee and his sisters, Mary Bolton and Frances Nickel.
In keeping with Jim’s wishes, his body was cremated. Burial with military honors will be at a later date in the Elk Cemetery in McArthur. Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
