Eva Eileen (Spires) Cahoon

Eva Eileen (Spires) Cahoon, entered into her Heavenly home on October 25, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 4, 1922, in Vinton County, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Freda (Waxler) Spires.

Eileen was an active member of Northside Church of God until moving to Florida to be near her son in 2011 and was an avid antique collector. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Cahoon; five brothers; one daughter, Betty French; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Gaye Cahoon; grandchildren, Joy (Bill) Raines, Rick (Julie) Gillespie, Lisa (Michael) Montgomery, Monica (Michael) Yinger, David (Mellony) Cahoon, Michelle Craycraft, Joyce (Steve) Ochs, Anita Horne and Dee French; son-in-law, Bob French; 24 grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; special nephew and niece, Paul Lambert and Brenda (John) Johnson; and a multitude of friends.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with service beginning at 10:30 at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center in Springfield, Ohio. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery in Wellston, Ohio at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
