Meredith P. Lowe

Meredith P. Lowe, 87, of Wellston, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, September 29, 2014, at her home.

She was born in Vances Bottom, West Virginia, on March 3, 1927, daughter of the late Mike and Piney Vurgess Vance. She was a member of the Apostolic Church of Mulberry, Florida, and a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and canning.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Lowe, in 1972; a daughter, Brenda Howard in 2007; and five brothers, Newman, Freeland, Jessie, Frank, and Billy.

She is survived by a son, Lonnie Lowe, of Hampton, Virginia; three daughters, Dorothy (Robert) Copley of Cyclone, West Virginia, Phyllis Henderson of Wellston, Ohio, and Helen Gibbs of Plumus Lake, California; a brother, Paul Vance of Colorado; two sisters, Joann (Arthur) Hoosier of Lorado, West Virginia, and Maria Vance of Michigan City, Indiana; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Meredith requested cremation to follow her death. Arrangements are by the Jenkins Funeral Chapel of Wellston.
