Wallace Milton McCray

Wallace Milton McCray, born December 23rd 1934 at Weeksbury, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 15, 2014 at his residence in Circleville, Ohio.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Loretta T. McCray and one daughter Jennifer (David) Cade; three grand kids: Chase (14), Halee (11) and Alli (4). He also leaves behind 2 brothers: Roy McCray of Knox, Indiana and Mike (Carolyn) McCray of Martin, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his dad and mother, James and Edith McCray; 4 sisters: Florence Crawford, Christine Torris, Justine Little and Dorothy Applegate; 2 brothers: Paul McCray and Johnney McCray.

Wallace was not a stranger to anyone. He enjoyed old cars, HAM radio and watching baseball and basketball. He was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church, where he was the Corn Hole Champion.

Friends may call at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Monday, August 18, where family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 19, at 10 a.m. at the Freedom Baptist Church, with Pastor Jerry Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Freedom Cemetery, Jackson, Ohio.
