Franklin Delano Gibson

Franklin Delano Gibson, age 69, of Jackson, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012, at his home following a long illness. He was born July 31, 1942 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Early and Leola Steffey Gibson.

Frank is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sisters, Oneida Hughes of Clio, Michigan, and Eleanor Taylor of Pikeville, Kentucky; two sons, Riley Dean Gibson and Gregory O’Brian Gibson of Pikeville; one daughter, Cheri Surhan of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; two stepsons, Jeremy Patrick Burnette of Atlanta, Georgia and Jeffrey Burnette of McCloud, California; seven granddaughters, one grandson, seven nephews, seven nieces, and countless friends.

In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his only brother, Wesley Gibson, and one of his sisters, Virginia Wright.

A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, July 22 at 2 p.m. at the Jackson Church of Christ at 13315 State Route 93, with Don Fout officiating.

Arrangements are by the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home (formerly Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home) in Jackson, Ohio.
